I wanted to tell everyone that we have reached 100 members. I am so excited. I know it isn't the volume of some of the other sites, but this is big news for the Southeast Scapers. Thanks to everyone who has joined and a big extra thanks to Reiner for becoming the 100th member.

I still have some exciting news to post in the weeks to come. Please keep checking back. Oh, and don't forget our big event in September, DragonCon.

Thanks,

BA

I am pleased to announce that Creation's Adam Malin has a agreed to set aside some valuable time at the Farscape Convention in Burbank to show a highlight clip of Stolen Life, a movie in which Claudia Black lends her voice to. This presentation will be in conjunction with Peter Rasmussen, of NanoFlix, the Southeast Scapers and myself.

This is exciting news for Claudia, this project and the Southeast Scapers. It will be one of two previews at conventions this year as the film will also be previewed at DragonCon in September.

> Rules for the Usage of this Board
Posted by blueaeryn - 04-7-06 07:25 - 0 comments
When I started this website in September I did so with high hopes and a way to continue our love of Farscape. I hoped to keep my fellow Southeast Scapers informed of our activites and invite Scapers around the world to enjoy in the fun.

As the website evolved I was lucky enough to build a relationship with various people who were or are involved in the Farscape universe and was able to offer you some wondeful blogs in the last few months. I have kept the website forum open to guests because I didn't want to put any restrictions on my fellow Farscape fans.

For the last few months everything has been running smooth and everyone has been great. However, in the last few weeks a troll has been in our midst. Posting random useless information doesn't met the standards of this forum. So, with regret I must begin asking folks to register should they want to post anything on the board.

My web guy will be helping me with this in the next few days and the change should occur by Monday, April 9. Again, I apologize for this, but it seems it is true. One bad apple can ruin the bunch.

ETA: You also have to be a registered member to reply to a post as well. Started having trouble with spammers.

Thanks,

BA

> Get Your Frell Me Dead Wristbands
Posted by blueaeryn - 09-20-05 10:19 - 6 comments
After the resounding success of the IRC wristbands, I have decided to start another round of wristbands.

This time, we will be making Frell Me Dead wristbands. The wristbands will be black. Mock up of wristband:

IPB Image

The money raised will be used by the Southeast Scapers for DragonCon 2006. DragonCon is the largest con in the US and attracts a lot of fans. We are planning our own con-suite next year with a lot of fun acitivities and need the extra funds to make it the best Farscape con-suite anyone has ever seen. We also plan to have amazing SWAG next year, that will rival this years con.

Our table in 2005 was so impressive we even had a special guest stop by our table. The Henson Company's Michael Polis, Sr. VP of Marketing, stopped by the table and was blown away by our fan table. He remarked on all of our wonderful SWAG and general presentation of the table.

This was all made possible by generous scapers.

I am starting pre-orders now, however, you won't have to wait very long to have them. I expect to have them in hand and out to you by the middle of October, just in time for Bubank.

Here is the ordering info:

The wristbands will be sold in sets of 5 at a cost of 12.50 USD perset. $2 for US shipping and $3 for international shipping.

You can use paypal by using this address:

dgideon@mtsu.edu

Just put Frell Me Dead wristbands in the header

Or, you can PM me for my snail mail addy to send a check or money order

Or you can use the pay pal button below:

> Dragon Con 2005
Posted by blueaeryn - 09-19-05 14:47 - 5 comments
We had a fantastic Dragon*Con this year. We had an entry into the Annual Parade, a costume contest, a vid contest, a "Fargate" party with Stargate Atlanta in the Klingon suite and a fan table where we promoted the syndication of the Farscape. Jim Henson Company's VP of Marketing even stopped by to say thank us for being there! Next year promises to be bigger and better.

We have 37 new and renewing members and I hope you'll continue to support the club with your $10.00 dues. Your dues helps support our con activities, including the production of give-away swag items like keychains, tattoos, stickers and more. Hundreds of people stopped by our fan table this year for the latest Farscape news as well as to learn about the show. Every eyeball we recruit increases the chances of future Farscape or Farscape spin offs.
